DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT
The apartment is located in the historical centre of Tavira, with a private entrance from a quiet street one row in from the river. You walk up a decorated stair one floor up into the apartment that spans the full floor of the building from that street to the next one by the river.
Towards the street where the entrance is are three large bedrooms, two of them with French balconies. There is a smaller bedroom in the core of the apartment.
As you walk towards the riverside in the apartment there is a living room with an indoor dining area and sofas. Next to it is a small library connected to a balcony where you can hang out and look at life in the street below and some views of the river. There is another large bedroom next to it, making it a total of five bedrooms on that floor.
The large kitchen is designed to be the heart of the home. Light colors, natural materials and a double door that opens up to the terrace outside. There is a new induction stove, a fridge and plenty of room for friends and family to cook together.
From the kitchen terrace there are stairs up to the roof terrace of 170 sqm overlooking the city rooftops and the river. This terrace is all to yourselves, exclusive to the apartment. On the terrace is a dining area, a lounge area and an outdoor shower. You can watch the sunrise over the river to the northeast and the sunset over the castle ruins to the west. This is a place to hang out in the daytime and evening whenever you want privacy, peace and quiet, even if it’s right in the centre of town. On the rooftop is another bedroom in case you need it, making it a total of six.
The style of the apartment is in a classic early 1900’s building with decorated ceilings more than three meters high, old wooden flooring and large windows and French balconies opening to the two streets. On the ground floor below the apartment is a wine shop that is closed in the evening and on the sides, there is another shop and a quiet neighbour. Even if you are right in the centre of town, it is never noisy and there is very little traffic in the streets.
INCLUDED
You are renting the entire apartment during your stay, except a small room for our storage. The kitchen is equipped with all the things you need for cooking, serving and cleaning. In the rent is included bed sheets and towels, one set per guest. Also high-speed internet and 150 TV channels, local as well as international.
Cleaning is done at the end of the stay and there is a fee on top of the rent for the cleaning. There is a deposit paid of €500 at the time of booking that is returned when you have left the apartment without any damages.
EXTRAS
Optionally our cleaner can come during your stay and clean or help you with other household matters. That will come at some extra charge.

Since 2000 Portugal is our second home. At the time we lived close to Lisbon and spent our vacations in Algarve. Tavira was always the place that stayed in our hearts and we decided to make a piece of it our own.
Our apartment is our place to rest, to work and where we invite our friends to stay. It is close to golf and biking – our preferred sports – and close to stunning beaches and restaurants with great food and wine – for long relaxing days!
