IT´S EASY TO GET HERE
Tavira is one of the small cities in the south east of the Algarve. It is easy to reach, with a lot of access points.
BY AIR
The nearest airport is Faro, with direct international connections to many European countries as well as domestic connections from Lisbon airport. It’s 30 min drive or taxi from Faro airport to the centre of Tavira. Public transport is also available.
Lisbon airport is 2.5 h drive away with great roads.
BY TRAIN AND BUS
There is a beautiful train line from Lisbon to Tavira, with a connection in Faro. The travel time is 4.5 h.
The regional trains that stop in Tavira travel from the Spanish border in the east to Lagos in the western Algarve, with stops in most cities along the way.
There are buses to and from Lisbon that take 4-4.5 h. Also, there are regional buses to take you along the coast, as well as to the airport, with connection in Faro.
The train and bus station are close to the apartment.
BY CAR
Portugal’s roads are new and very good with the A2 motorway from Lisbon to the Algarve and the A22 motorway going east to west in the Algarve and continuing to Seville in Spain. There is public parking near the apartment by the river or a larger one slightly further away.
